Slashdotted?

This night I got a sms from SaroEngles - he told me that http://download.cegit.de/kde-windows is down due to this article. As I'm not a student and have to work for my money, I did not read it until this morning. ;)

I couldn't do anything against the downtime. Later Ralf told me that he has a user limit and his server is working fine. Therefore we ask all kde/windows users to not use download.cegit.de or webdev.cegit.de as their download mirror anymore. We'll likely remove them from the mirror list when the new installer, which can also download from ftp servers then, will be out.

That's not your only problem:

* The installer exe is only available from cegit.de, I couldn't google for my life to find another mirror with it.
* The mirror list is only available from cegit.de, no one could sync yesterday because it was down.

Please make the installer as distributed as possible, it's very possible you'll get DDoS'ed in every release.

We're working on it - the problem was that we got access to ftp.kde.org just a few days ago.

The installer could now be downloaded from the kde-windows sourceforge project. See http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=214730&package_id=258959

Sourceforge uses several mirrors so this problem should be solved :-)
